Flavored tea – a taste that tells a story

If teas had personalities, these flavored teas would be the life of the party – colorful, unpredictable, and bold. These are teas that combine the world of tradition with modernity. They're like a spontaneous journey into an exotic world full of flavors, scents, and surprises. When classic tea leaves are combined with fruit, flower petals, spices, or citrus peel, something more than a drink is created—a story of flavor and emotion is born. There's no room for boredom here. Here, each blend is a surprise, capable of being a travel memory, a calorie-free dessert, or a moment of respite between responsibilities.

Rose petals, candied orange peel, apple or strawberry pieces, vanilla, nuts, goji berries, coconut, ginger, jasmine, spices… – the list of additives we can find in our blends could be endless. And their combinations? Sometimes delicate, sometimes bold, but always – surprisingly goodIt's the additions that make tea more than just a drink. It becomes an experience, a ritual, a small pleasure on a busy day, or the highlight of a gathering with family or friends.

Historical outline

Although the tradition of flavoring tea dates back hundreds of years – especially in Asia, where jasmine flowers, osmanthus, or jasmine rice were added to the leaves – it was only in Europe that large-scale experimentation with the addition of fruits, spices, and natural flavors began, creating dozens of original compositions. Since the 19th century, blends with candied fruits, spices, and natural oils have been created. Today, flavored teas are extremely popular among both retail customers and the food service sector.

Health properties

In flavored tea – depending on the base used (black, green, or pu-erh) – the natural properties of the leaves are preserved: antioxidant, stimulating, digestive or relaxingAdded ingredients like ginger, hibiscus, mint, fruit, and flowers enhance the infusion's effects and provide additional health benefits, such as stress relief, mild anti-inflammatory effects, and digestive support. Flavored teas can also be a great choice for those looking to cut back on sweets, replacing them with a cup of fragrant, fruity delight.

It's worth knowing

In Asia, adding flavorings to tea was associated not only with the desire to enhance flavor, but also with ritual, symbolism, and seasonality. In China, jasmine symbolizes purity and peace, while in Japan, tea with roasted rice (genmaicha) was originally a drink of the poor, but today it's considered a refined blend. Contemporary blends also tell stories—some are created with the seasons in mind, others reflect a mood, occasion, or specific need.

How to brew flavored tea?

The method of brewing flavored teas depends on the type of leaves or ingredients., which form their base. Black teas are best brewed with water at 95–100°C for 3 to 5 minutes. For green teas, the recommended temperature is 75–85°C, and the brewing time is usually 2–3 minutes. Pu-erh-based blends are brewed at around 95°C for 3–4 minutes. Rooibos can be brewed longer – from 5 to even 10 minutes using boiling water. Fruit teas also require hot water, usually 95–100°C, and the optimal brewing time is 8 to 12 minutes to allow the ingredients to fully release their flavor and aroma. Regardless of the type of tea, it's best to brew flavored blends in a teapot with a strainer or a jug so that the leaves and other ingredients can develop freely and fully release their aroma.

Why is it worth having them in your offer??
